Structural equation model of affecting factors on elder abuse to patients under hemodialysis by family caregivers

Abstract Background The objectives of the present study were to determine prevalence older adults with hemodialysis (HD) abuse by family caregivers and factors affecting it. Method This is a correlational-causal study, which conducted in 2018 Iran. sample size was 367 both groups (the their caregivers). Data collection done using an individual-social information questionnaire for under caregivers, elder people hemodialysis, Zarit Burden Interview scale instrumental activities daily living (IADL). analyzed structural equation model (SEM) method. Fitness proposed pattern measured following indexes: chi-square/degree freedom ratio (CMIN/DF), Normed Fit Index (NFI), comparative fit index (CFI), goodness (GFI), standardized root mean squared residual (SRMR). significant level this considered p < 0.05.
